The Performers No Reply is a unique six-piece Beatles cover band performing songs from every era and album of the Beatles short yet storied career. Setting them apart from other tribute and cover bands is their amazing attention to detail in reproducing both the music and the vocal harmonies, which are perhaps the best around. Everything they play is performed completely live, something they are very proud of.
An indie rock band with Dedham ties, Magic Magic comes to MusicFest after playing several gigs in England . Let’s welcome them home!
Inchicore takes its name from the district of Dublin where founding member Derrick Keane is from. The band wraps its wide range of influences and abilities around a Celtic/Irish center, producing a very melodic and very rhythmic result.
Heralded by Sing Out! magazine as “one of the leading singer-songwriters on the current scene,” Jud has won eight nationally recognized songwriting contests, including the Boston Folk Festival. His song “Blackberry Time” is taught in the songwriting curriculum at the Berklee College of Music. A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, Jud wandered through jazz bands, orchestras and medieval ensembles before finding his home on the acoustic guitar.
Fran is a recipient of a Gold Award from the Parents’ Choice, the nation’s oldest nonprofit guide to quality children’s media and toys. She recently released her latest CD, “Big Blue Sky.” Her four previously released CDs have all won national awards. Fran’s concerts entertain a broad range of ages, from bouncy babies to fabulous fourth-graders.
Joe Rich Joe Rich is a graduate of Dedham High School and a local talent of uncommon wit and talent. He covers the music of other artists with great respect and is becoming quite a tunesmith himself.
Sarah Blacker will make you dance a jig in the street, while she stomps, claps, and cheers you on! Sarah has written more than 400 songs, and toured nationally, playing to sold-out audiences in Cambridge and New York City , among other cities. She's been named a “River Rising Star” by WXRV, Boston 's Independent Radio, 92.5 the River, and she's regularly called, “the perfect blend of Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald.”
A Deuce of Seuss from Voicewize and Creative Adventures A local resource for singing voice training and high-performance speaking, VoiceWize will showcase a selection of its students performing selections from the musical “Seussical.” Featured performers: Meghan Corbett, Christopher DeNatale, Amanda Crimmins, Skip Bridges, Helena Rabasco, and Jeana Garcia. The Musical Theatre class from Creative Adventures will sing from “The Lorax.”
Dedham Square ’s Band Gig Join a Band Program for Teens and Adults connects musicians with others of similar likes and abilities to form bands. One Wish, a teen rock band, is just one of its many success stories. |
