Dedham Parent Time
Dedham
Parent Time is a family network organization and parent group, sponsored
by the Dedham Community House, devoted to bringing parents and their young
children (birth to age 6) together for times of friendship, learning and
fun. There are presently over 80 member families from Dedham and surrounding
communities.

Membership
Benefits
- Twice
weekly open playtimes year-round including indoor playspace during
the cold weather months featuring lots of ride-on toys, balls
and equipment for the children.
- Participation
in age-specific playgroups
- Bi-monthly
newsletter with a comprehensive listing of local kid--friendly/family
events and fun activities to do with your child/children/family.
- Weekly
emails sharing information on DPT activities, local events and
member announcements.
- 3
special events each year: Annual Valentine's party, a spring field
day and a fall Open House. The events always feature fun activities,
games, arts/crafts and professional entertainers. Many events
planned on Saturdays so that parents who work during the week
and children who attend pre-school or kindergarten can participate
as well.

Drop-in music and movement classes for babies and children of
all age groups taught by a professional music teacher.
- In
conjunction with "Community Partnerships for Children",
we hold a parenting workshop. Subjects include positive approaches
to discipline, children's behavior and development. CPC also hosts
a music and movement activity for the children.
- Drop-in
soccer' activity for toddlers up to 6 year olds.
- "Mom's
Night Out" - a great way for busy moms to connect with old
friends and make new ones.
- Special
offers and discounts at some local family-friendly businesses.
- A
great opportunity to meet lots of local parents and find playmates
for your child/children.
- A
fantastic network - what better place to find a babysitter, recommendations
for pre-schools, daycares, activities and more.
- Access
to DPT Yahoo Group web site with calendar of group's activities
and members-only message board.

Membership
Fee
The annual membership fee for DPT is $40 per family which helps cover
the costs of events and activities. Parent Time is an all volunteer group
that relies on input and involvement from its membership.
