Preschool Director

Jayma Thompson

JAYMA cropped

Jayma has been an integral part of the DCH Preschool since 2005, first serving in the classroom as a floating teacher, lead classroom teacher, and as the Kindergarten teacher for seven years, before moving into administrative roles. In July 2020 she was promoted to Preschool Program Coordinator, and a year later to Assistant Preschool Director. The DCH Board of Directors was thrilled to name Jayma as Preschool Director in May 2022 citing her long history with and passion for the school, her commitment to both staff and families, and her child-centered approach.

Jayma grew up in Dedham, and lived in nearby West Roxbury with her husband for a few years before moving to her current hometown of Attleboro, MA. She received her associate degree in liberal studies and, in 2008, a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lasell College. Both of Jayma’s children have been students at the DCH Preschool.
